Man faces multiple charges after $37,000 worth of stolen property recovered

A 56 year old Lethbridge man is facing multiple charges in connection to a commercial break in on Wednesday. Lethbridge police say $37,000 worth of stolen property was recovered, including tools, catalytic converters and two motorcycles that were reported stolen from a dealership.

Police responded to the 600 block of 30 St. N on Sept. 14 to find a fence had been cut and about $18,000 worth of tools were missing from work vehicles in a commercial yard.

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) also investigated a stolen truck from the 3600 block of 9 Ave. N, which was believed to have been used during the break. It was recovered and there were also Reports of significant damage done to a vehicle in the 2800 block of 5 Avenue North and another in the 500 block of 30 Street North, according to police.

A man was later arrested at a home in the 300 block of 7 A Ave. S without incident, where stolen property was recovered.

Tomas Adams faces a total of 10 offences including theft, attempted theft, possession of stolen property and mischief to a motor vehicle. He was remanded in custody with a court appearance set for Friday, Sept. 16, 2022.

Police say the investigation is continuing.
