Round up your toxic and e-waste for drop off on Saturday

Load up your old busted TV, those old paint cans collecting dust in your garage, any old light bulbs and drop them off at the parking lot at City Hall this upcoming Saturday.

The City of Lethbridge Waste and Recycling department will be hosting a toxic and e-waste roundup and household hazardous waste and e-waste can include:

  • paint
  • used oil
  • antifreeze
  • cleaning solvents
  • gardening and pest control products
  • lights bulbs
  • televisions
  • cell phones

The toxic and e-waste roundup is a pilot project that was started by council during the summer. The program encourages residents to keep any hazardous waste and e-waste out of the black waste carts and out of the landfill while providing a convenient location for drop off within the city limits.

Drop off your residential waste from 9 am to 5 pm at the City Hall parking at 910 4th Avenue South on Saturday, November 19th.

This roundup is only for residential household hazardous waste and electronic waste. Any household hazardous waste and e-waste can be dropped off at the Waste and Recycling Centre year round.
