Health Canada pulls unauthorized health products from Lethbridge shelves

Over a dozen unauthorized workout products have been seized from Lethbridge Supplements and Vitamins by Health Canada. According to the government agency taking any of the seized products could pose serious health risks because the products are “labelled to contain or have been tested and found to contain dangerous ingredients.”

The products seized from the Lethbridge retailer were found to include chemicals known to produce side effects such as rapid heart rate, hallucinations and chills. Included in the seizure are products from the Iron Brothers Supplements, Killer Labz, NutriFitt, Predator Labs, and Proctor brands.

Anyone who has purchased one of the unauthorized products is advised to stop using the it, and consult your health care provider. Anyone concerned about if products they have purchased are authorized by Health Canada can check either on the health agencies Drug Product Database or Licensed Natural Health Product Database.

A full list of the products seized can be found here.
