No injuries reported after northside fire Tuesday night

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services have reported that there were no injuries after a northside fire on Tuesday afternoon.

Fire and Emergency Services crews from four stations responded to a residential fire on 18th Street north at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The fire was found in a bedroom located in the basement of a home and crews were able to quickly extinguish it, however the home significant smoke damage throughout.

During a search of the home, two family pets were located deceased.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and damage is estimated at $200,000.
