Milk River man charged in connnection to weekend incident at Coutts border crossing

A motor vehicle collision at the Coutts Border resulted in two Canadian Border Services Agency Officers suffering minor injuries.

On May 13th, Milk River RCMP assisted Emergency Medical Services that were responding to an unknown incident at the Canadian Port of Entry in Coutts.

An investigation determined that while two Canadian Border Services Agency Officers were conducting their duties, they were struck by a vehicle.

The driver was taken into custody by border officers and placed in a holding cell until Milk River RCMP arrived.

Kache Miller, a 50-year-old resident of Milk River is being charged with two counts of assaulting a peace officer with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and obstruct peace officer.

Miller was released and is set to appear in Lethbridge Court on June 12th.
