No injuries reported after tractor catches fire north of Lethbridge 

Fire crews from Picture Butte and Coalhurst kept a fire from spreading near Park Lake Thursday morning. Picture Butte Fire Chief Frank West says firefighters responded to a report of smoke north of Lethbridge.  

“Crews arrived to find a tractor working the field that had caught fire,” he says. “Three units from the two stations attended and put out the tractor fire and contained it to the area where the fire had started with no further spread or injuries.” 

West says an investigaton determined the fire was caused by mechanical failure.
