Lethbridge County property taxes mailed out, due July 31st

Lethbridge County has announced that property taxes and assessment notices have officially been mailed out as of Wednesday.

Payment is due by July 31st and can be done by mail, in-person at the Lethbridge Admin office Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., through the bank, or online with a debit or credit card through Plastiq.

After July 31st, a five per cent penalty will be applied to any outstanding tax balances, with the county reminding residents to allow sufficient time for any mail delivery payments or processing time through online or bank payments. Any late penalties will not be waived.

Residents who don’t receive their tax notice by June 16th are to call the county at 403-328-5525. There have been delays at Alberta Land Titles so the county may not have received all record of property sales so far this year.

Property owners may notice provincial requisitions on their notice, these can include school support and Green Acres Foundation funding.

More information on County taxes and assessments can be found on the county’s website.
