Closures and changes for the Holiday Monday

There will be changes and closures around the city residents should be aware of this long weekend.

The Lethbridge 311 office will be closed on the holiday Monday, with customer service specialists returning to work on Tuesday. The 24/7 self-service site will be available for those who need it and the 24-hour trouble line will be available for urgent issues.

City hall will also be closed on Monday and will reopen Tuesday at 8 a.m. The Waste and Recycling Centre will also be closed but the yard waste sites will remain open.

Community Animal Services will also be closed on Monday, and residents are encouraged to contact the shelter at 403-320-4099 ahead of time to arrange a pick up time for their lost pet.

Lethbridge Transit will be running on the Holiday Schedule and Access-A-Ride booking and customer service will be closed but the service hours will run as normal.

The Lethbridge Public Library, Galt Museum and Archives, and Fort Whoop-Up will be closed Monday, while the Helen Schuler Nature Centre will be opened from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m and the Birds of Prey Centre in Coaldale is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fritz Sick Pool is closed until Aug. 28, Stan Siwik Pool and Nicholas Sheran Pool will both be closed for the holiday Monday while Henderson Pool will be open from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Offices for Lethbridge County, Taber, Coaldale and Coalhurst will also be closed for the holiday.

The Coaldale pool will be open from noon to 1 p.m. for lane swim and then there will be a free swim from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
