RCMP investigating second incident targeting Pride events in Fort McLeod

Fort McLeod RCMP are investigating a second incident on the same day fish and marten lure oil was poured on the floor of the Empress Theatre.

Police say officers were called to Centennial Park around 11:38 p.m. Saturday, where five men were reportedly burning a Pride Flag. The fire department was also dispatched to ensured the fire was put out, but officials did not know how the pole the flag was on was broken.

This is the second reported Fort MacLeod Pride Committee event targeted on August 26th. Mounties have arrested two youths, who cannot be named because of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, in connection to the Empress Theatre incident.
