Two search warrants in the Crowsnest Pass turn up stolen property, drugs

Two search warrants in the Crowsnest Pass earlier this week turning up stolen property and some drugs.

The first took place on a rural property Wednesday and resulted in the recovery of two large flat deck trailers, a large generator, and a John Deere skid steer.

Police say the rightful owners are from a wide area ranging from Castlegar, BC to Coaldale.

Total value is estimated to be in excess of $100,000.

RCMP have charged one man with possession of stolen property but are not releasing his name as the matter is still under investigation.

The second search warrant was done on a vehicle as part of an ongoing investigation and turned up various stolen items as well as a small quantity of cocaine.

Charges have been laid against one man in that case.

RCMP say the two cases are not related to each other.
