Adventures await at the Southern Alberta Outdoors Show

Southern Albertans get ready to embark on adventures in The Great Outdoors. Whether it be camping, glamping, fishing, hunting or boating – the brand-new Southern Alberta Outdoors Show has got you covered.

Wes David, host and producer of “Fishing the Wild West TV,” is the show’s main stage presenter. David was born and raised on a cattle ranch in Alberta near Beiseker.

“Lethbridge, being the third largest city in Alberta and surrounded by hunting, fishing, farming and ranching – it’s time they have their own show,” says David.

There will be something for everyone, David adds. “For kids of all ages, right up to adults. Whether they’re looking to book their first trip of a lifetime or more knowledge on fishing, hunting and camping locally.”

A variety of hunting and fishing clubs will also be a part of the show, including Lethbridge Fish and Game.

“There’s a lot going on and it all happens under one roof,” says David.

David will also be one of the presenters on the main stage. “I am going to be talking about reservoir wildlife. Southern Alberta is full of reservoirs and even southern Saskatchewan. Our goal with ‘Fishing the Wild West TV,” when it started over 10 years ago was to help people catch one more fish.”

According to David, the seminars will feature information about the basics, right up to information geared towards advancers. “However the questions come in. With the goal to help people catch one more fish, teach them how to take their kids fishing or get someone new involved. That’s the ultimate goal – to get new people involved, help people have a positive experience and continue our hunting and fishing heritage.”

The show runs Apr. 5 from 12-8 p.m., Apr. 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Apr. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre. For more information visit saoutdoorshow.ca.
