What’s open and closed during the Easter long weekend

Due to the upcoming holiday weekend, the City of Lethbridge will have service level changes. 

Lethbridge 3-1-1 

The Lethbridge 3-1-1 Contact Centre and in-person at City Hall will be closed Good Friday and Easter Monday. Regular business hours will resume Apr. 2 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

For urgent issues, a 24-hr trouble line is available by calling 3-1-1. 

A 24/7 self-service site is also available at 311.lethbridge.ca to help with your questions. 

City Hall 

City Hall will be closed Good Friday and Easter Monday. 

Waste and Recycling 

The Waste and Recycling Centre will be closed Good Friday and open normal hours Easter Monday. NOTE: Summer hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. take effect Apr. 1. 

Good Friday curbside waste collection will be moved to Mar. 30. 

Pools & Arenas 

For schedules visit leisure.lethbridge.ca. 

Community Animal Services 

Community Animal Services and the Lethbridge Animal Shelter will be closed Good Friday and Mar. 30. The shelter will be open normal hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Easter Monday.

The public can access services on the website at any time, including dog licence payments, appointment booking, online complaint reporting and searching a list of found pets impounded at the shelter. For emergency animal control matters call 403-320-4099. 

Transit Service 

Ride on Demand and Fixed Route transit schedules will run on Sunday service Good Friday and Easter Monday. 

Galt Museum & Archives 

The Galt Museum will be open from 1-5 p.m. Good Friday and closed Easter Sunday. The museum is closed every Monday. 

Helen Schuler Nature Centre 

The Helen Schuler Nature Centre will be closed on both Good Friday and Easter Monday. The centre is open extended hours from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mar. 30 and Mar. 31. 

Lethbridge Public Library 

All branches of the Lethbridge Public Library will be closed Good Friday and Easter Monday.
