I usually bring a baby bunny, guinea pig, hamster, hedgehog, and even a micro squirrel with me..
We have the sweetest handfed baby conures that love coming out on visits & adore the attention.
The reptiles that join me on field trips are a couple of exotic geckos, a bearded dragon, a tortoise and a big ball python!!
They’re so much fun and they’re a great way for kids & adults to learn about these adorable creatures.
Everybody gets to hold, pet, cuddle & get pictures with the animals and they’re very educational too!!
We talk about some of the key differences between mammals, birds and reptiles, where each animal is found in the wild, what they like to eat and if companionship is important to them.
All that socializing makes for some tremendously friendly pets.
