RCMP continue to investigate fatal collision in MD of Willow Creek

Two people from Lethbridge have died following a fatal collision in the M.D. of Willow Creek. 

On May 12, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Claresholm and Fort Macleod RCMP were dispatched to a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 519 at Range Road 255 within the M.D. of Willow Creek.

The collision involved three vehicles; an eastbound Honda Civic, an eastbound black Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck pulling a U-Haul trailer and a westbound red Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. 

Upon arrival, both occupants of the Honda Civic, a 35-year-old male driver and a 31-year-old female passenger, both residents of Lethbridge, were located deceased. The female driver and male passenger of the black Dodge Ram pickup truck suffered no injuries. The driver of the red Ram pickup truck suffered serious injuries and was transported to a Calgary hospital via ground ambulance. 

The RCMP Collision Reconstructionist attended the scene. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
