Property tax notices to be mailed this month, due in June

Property tax notices will be sent out soon with a 5.1 per cent increase over last year. The tax rate was decided with the city’s four year operating budget in Nov. 22.

BACKGROUND: 5.1 per cent municipal tax increase ratified after Lethbridge council vote

The increase is equal to $129.93 extra each year for the average single-family residence with an average market value of $285,800.

The city says all notices will be mailed out on May 29 with a due date of June 28.
