A family-friendly free event is set to return to Lethbridge Polytechnic in September.
The annual Coulee Fest will be held from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on September 14 on the campus’s east lawn.
Some of the activities set to be included are:
- Live entertainment
- A ride-on monster truck called Area 51, which is owned by alumnus Don Frankish of Frankish Enterprises
- An expanded petting zoo and animal education throughout the day, courtesy of Gentle Giant Acres
- A Big Truck Zone, expanded from the 2023 event to include City of Lethbridge vehicles such as garbage trucks and police cruisers
- A vendor’s market captained by Hey Dough Cookie Co.
Applications are officially open for the market. Those interested in getting involved can apply online.
“We are fiercely passionate about bringing our community together and Coulee Fest continues to be one of our favourite ways to do that,” says Alumni and Engagement Manager Stephanie Savage.
“We want Coulee Fest to be an inclusive and exciting celebration not only for students and employees but for our whole community. At Lethbridge Polytechnic, we are all Kodiaks, and we extend a warm invitation to anyone who wants to join in on the fun!”
A detailed schedule of events will be posted at the Coulee Fest website and on the Lethbridge Polytechnic social media channels in the coming weeks.
This will be the first Coulee Fest under the post-secondary’s new name of Lethbridge Polytechnic. In late June, it was announced the college would become Alberta’s newest polytechnic, with the change officially taking effect on September 3.
