Due to a gap in physician coverage, the Fort Macleod Health Centre emergency department will be temporarily closed for 24 hours.
According to Alberta Health Services the closure will start at 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 16th and is scheduled to re-open at 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 17th.
According to a release from the provincial health authority, “During the temporary closure, nursing staff will remain on-site to provide care for long-term care residents.”
Emergency calls are being rerouted to Lethbridge and Raymond, and AHS reminds residents to call Health Link at 811 for non-emergency medical questions.
