The Taste is a vibrant street fair-style gathering that brings together vendors from across southern Alberta, which takes place in Fort Macleod Sept. 5.
“It seems to be getting bigger and bigger every year,” says Ashley Tebbutt, executive director of the Fort Macleod Chamber of Commerce. “It should be a good time.”
Participants can expect the ambiance of historic Main Street in downtown Fort Macleod with food and drink vendors plus live music.
According to Tebbutt, this year the library is hosting a supervised kids activity area. “Parents can drop their kids off, go have a good time and come back and pick up their kids.”
Most of the vendors are local, Tebbutt adds, but vendors are also coming from Rolling Hills, Lundbreck, Claresholm, High River and Lethbridge.
The event is a tasting, so each vendor’s food or drink sample will require a certain number of tickets.
The Taste runs from 5:30-9:30 p.m. and the event is still accepting vendors. For more information visit online at fortmacleodchamber.ca or on Facebook.
