Since our weather has been so warm, here are some ideas to keep your pets cool this summer.
At Petland, we offer a range of cooling vests and collars that are incredibly useful during this time of year! Our cooling suits, called Suiticles, are excellent as well. They have a thin layer of water built in and can stay cool for up to three days. We also have cooling beds, mats, bandanas, and bowls to help your pets stay comfortable.
To ensure your pets stay hydrated, we carry pet water fountains that are a great solution. For dogs who love the lake or river, we have life jackets and portable food and water dishes, perfect for day adventures with your pets! Additionally, we have some fantastic water toys that your pets will love.
To combat mosquitoes at the lakes and rivers, we offer mosquito repellent for pets. One of my favorites is a marigold, all-natural spray. This Canadian product contains marigold flower extract, aloe vera, citric acid, rosemary, and lavender extract. It’s a good idea to apply this on your pet’s ears and areas with less dense fur, where mosquitoes are likely to target. I’ve also used it as a mosquito repellent for myself, and it smells amazing and works great!
