Local businesses honoured at Lethbridge Chamber Awards Gala

Local businesses and organizations were recognized during the 2024 Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Gala Wednesday night.

At the October 9 event, 10 awards were given out in several categories.

Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce CEO Cyndi Crane says this year’s event not only served to celebrate the local chamber’s 135th anniversary, but also the city and region’s business community and its successes.

“It shows the need for business to continually gather and talk about what they are doing and their successes, but also what their challenges are and what they are working on,” Crane says.

Winners this year included Lethbridge Family Services – Angel Tree for ‘Non-Profit of the Year’, Sky + Table Event Group for ‘Outstanding New Venture’, and the Lethbridge School Division received the ‘Spirit of Reconciliation Award’.

Other awards were handed out to Southland Trailers Corp. for ‘Business of the Year’; Careers, the Next Generation for ‘Bridge Builder’; BikeLane for ‘Business Innovation’; Westco Construction for ‘Employer of the Year’; Lethbridge Event Rentals for ‘Excellence in Costumer Service’; and Honkers Pub & Eatery for ‘Legacy of Excellence’. The ‘Young Business Professional Award’ was given to Kaylee Day Chief.

Crane says this year, there were over 50 businesses nominated for awards, with that field narrowed down to 30 finalists.
