Lethbridge Police seek help locating woman wanted on outstanding warrants

UPDATE: Layla Whelan was arrested Thursday.

Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a 36-year-old woman wanted on outstanding warrants.   

Layla Grace Whelan was previously charged with numerous offences in connection with an incident July 5 involving a break and enter, where the subjects were in possession of firearms. Whelan was granted bail in October and shortly after breached the conditions of her release order resulting in warrants being issued for her arrest. 

Attempts to locate Whelan have been unsuccessful and her current location is unknown. 

Anyone who has seen Whelan or has information on her whereabouts is asked to call police at 403-328-4444 and reference file 24021446. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
