Lethbridge crews ready to tackle fall snow storm

City of Lethbridge snow clearing crews are ready to mobilize ahead of what could be a very wintery weekend.

Motorists are also being reminded to adjust their driving for winter road conditions and to remember that as the temperature drops bridges as well as on-ramps and off-ramps can become slippery.

You’re asked to slow down and drive with care, maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you, and never pass a snow plow or sand truck.

Lethbridge is currently under a Winter Storm Watch which also covers all of southwest Alberta.

Environment Canada says some areas could see 15 to 30 centimetres of snow and up to 50 plus cm in the far southwest corner of the province.
