Coaldale’s Civic Plaza Winter Series provides space for Christmas-themed events

As part of Coaldale’s Winter Fest, the Town is organizing a Civic Plaza Winter Series.

It runs until December 21 and provides local community groups, organizations and businesses with an opportunity to host a Christmas-themed event at the new Civic Plaza.

Host groups will not only be given access to the brand-new concession and outdoor skating rink – but will also be given complimentary hot chocolate to serve during their events.

“While planning for Winter Fest, we talked a lot about how to involve as many community groups, organizations and businesses as possible and so came up with the idea of organizing a Civic Plaza Winter Series,” notes Clayton Varjassy, community experience manager. “Generally speaking, the idea is to provide various local groups and businesses with access to a baseline set of amenities and refreshments like hot chocolate they can use to host their own Christmas-themed event at Civic Plaza.”

Seven community groups and/or businesses have signed up to host an event so far at Civic Plaza. If your community group, organization or business is interested in hosting an event as part of the Civic Plaza Winter Series, visit coaldalewinterfest.ca/host-application. Once an application has been submitted, a Winter Fest representative will contact you directly.
