STARS encourages online donations through holiday season

Due to the ongoing challenges of the Canada Post strike, STARS is asking donors to consider a different donation method to help ensure critical care services are not impacted this holiday season.

In a typical December, more than 65 per cent of STARS donations arrive through the mail. With mail delivery currently delayed, STARS is asking donors to consider donating online.

“Due to the Canada Post strike, your timely support is more crucial than ever. By donating online or over the phone, you ensure your generous contribution reaches us without delay, helping us continue our vital work during the holiday season,” notes Katherine Emberly, president and CEO. “Delivering critical care anywhere is not possible without the support of our community donors. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s willingness to be flexible with their donation methods. Our team is here to support and will help guide you through the process to ensure your donation reaches us without interruption.”

Donating online is quick, easy and secure. Donors navigating the STARS website can rest assured their information is protected throughout the donation process. To donate online please visit stars.ca/donate.

Donors who wish to donate over the phone are asked to call the toll-free number 1-855-516-4848. A STARS Foundation team member is available to take calls between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
