Lethbridge man wins lotto for the second time this year

A Lethbridge man has lady luck on his side winning $1 million dollars from LOTTO 6/49 after winning $500,000 at the beginning of the year on LOTTO MAX.

David Serkin says he buys tickets for every draw and he saw there was a winner in Alberta for the November 16th draw, which turned out to be his ticket.

“It’s just unbelievable,” Serkin says. “It feels good—it always feels good!”

The response from those he told, including his wife and a few friends is said to have been a range of shock. The main question, he was asked was how he managed to win twice.

“They were ribbing me last time and they’re ribbing me even more now!”

He says he has been enjoying using his previous winnings helping family and friends and has planned a trip to take his wife to Maui. The couple has a handful fo other places they would like to travel to including Newfoundland and Labrador and Yellowstone National Park in the U.S.

The LOTTO 6/49 ticket was purchased from Petro Canada on Mayor Magrath Drive south.
