Vehicle fire causes $22K in damage in south Lethbridge Thursday morning

The cause of a fire in south Lethbridge that resulted in an estimated $22,000 in damage is under investigation.

Crews from four Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services stations responded to a commercial building on the 2800 block of 26 Avenue South just after 7 a.m. on Thursday, January 2. They found a vehicle that was parked inside the building engulfed in flames.

Officials say the fire was extinguished quickly and responders prevented the flames from spreading through the building. No injuries were reported.
