Lethbridge Police search for phone believed to be connected to murder investigation

The public is being asked to help police locate a cell phone they believe to be connected to the alleged murder of a 34-year-old woman.

According to Lethbridge Police Service officials, the investigation has led officers to believe a phone connected to the homicide was tossed into the bed of an unknown truck that was parked in a parking lot at the Henderson Estates condo complex along 8th Avenue South. Officials say the lot is on the west side of the property.

On December 28th Lethbridge police responded to a suspicious death at a southside motel, where Christina Webber was found deceased in a ground-floor room. According to police, the Criminal Investigation division took over the investigation, and according to officials, determined on boxing day two men and a woman visited Webber’s motel room. It is alleged an interaction took place that involved a weapon, resulting in the death of the 34-year-old. The trio is reported to have taken items from the room and then fled in an SUV, which was later found set on fire along 7th Avenue South.

Twenty-three-year-old Melissa Christelle Tidlund, 28-year-old Drew Austin Waters and 36-year-old Kyle Douglas Doddridge have all been charged with first-degree murder in connection to the case and remain in custody.

Police are asking anyone with a truck who lives in the building or was visiting, and parked in the lot between December 26th and 28th to check their truck bed or if anyone has recently found a phone and gotten rid of it or still has it to contact police. Officers are thanking the public “in advance for checking their vehicles and coming forward if the cell phone is located.”
