Police in Lethbridge are asking for help with a sexual assault investigation.
The Lethbridge Police Service says at around 4:45 p.m. on Friday, January 17, a 14-year-old boy was walking along Temple Boulevard West when he was approached by a man in a vehicle. Officials say the man offered him a ride, which the boy accepted.
According to police, he was driven to a secluded area on the west side of the city, confined to the car and allegedly assaulted. LPS says he was then dropped off at a traffic circle on Metis Trail in the Copperwood neighbourhood.
The alleged assault was reported two days later.

Police describe the suspect as Caucasian, around 30 to 40-years-old with a medium build. He was clean shaven, with a pointy nose and some wrinkles on his face. LPS adds the suspect was wearing a black beanie-style toque with grey hair poking out, black sunglasses, an orange hoodie, black vest, blue jeans, a brown belt with a lion on the buckle and black/grey winter boots. The man was also described as talking with a stutter.
Police have also released surveillance images of the suspect’s vehicle, which is described as a red 2013-2020 Nissan Altima with black winter tire rims and chrome trim line on the front grill, door handles, around the windows and strip above the license plate.
