Applications for the Coalhurst Community Garden open March 3rd

Those interested in exercising their green thumbs are encouraged to apply next month for Coalhurst Community Garden plots for the 2025 growing season.

According to the Town of Coalhurst guidelines, gardeners can maintain one of the raised garden plots in the area which is at the south end of Miners Memorial Park. To be able to grow in the community area a Gardener Application Form needs to be submitted with an agreement signed, as well the coinciding fees will need to be paid.

Plots will be assigned on a first come first serve basis by May 1st, with access to the community garden becoming available by May 15th. Gardeners will have until June 10th to plant their area and if the area isn’t planet by that date it will go to the next person on the waiting list.

Applications will be accepted starting March 3rd. More information can be found on the Town of Coalhurst website.
