According to Lethbridge Police Service officials, in May of last year, the one-year-old boy was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital for life-threatening injuries before being transferred to the children’s hospital in serious condition.

A release from LPS reads, “As a result of the suspicious nature of the injuries, police were contacted. Following a lengthy investigation, police determined the toddler sustained significant blunt force trauma and other inflicted injuries while he was in the care of his mother. ”

Delia Teri Joy Grey was charged in connection to the incident late last year, with a warrant issued for her arrest. Police say they have been unable to locate the 43-year-old and although her where abouts is unknown police say she could be in the High Prairie, Atikameg area. She is facing several charges including failing to provide the necessaries of life and criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
