ACAC championship season for Kodiaks Athletics

This weekend is going to be big and busy for the Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks men’s volleyball team, as they compete in championships and futsal trying to clinch a spot in playoffs.

The Kodiaks men’s volleyball team kicked off the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) volleyball championships at the awards banquet Wednesday night.

The Kodiaks team has travelled north to Lakeland College in Lloydminster to compete for the title of ACAC champions this weekend.

This weekend will be pivotal for the Kodiaks women’s futsal team, as they compete for a spot in the championships. They will need to hold onto their third-place position in the south, as only the top three from each division will advance.

The Kodiaks men’s futsal team also has a tough weekend ahead if they want to keep their season alive and qualify for the ACAC championships. They will need to win out this weekend to climb in the standings, as they currently sit in fifth place.
