Charges laid in Lethbridge collision that injured three children

A Lethbridge woman has been charged in connection with a collision in January that led to three children being injured.

The Lethbridge Police Service says just after 7:30 a.m. on Monday, January 20, officers responded to a report that three children, ages 14, seven, and five, were hit by a car at the intersection of 13 Avenue and 23 Street North. The LPS investigation found that the children were crossing a marked crosswalk when they were hit by a vehicle going south on 23 Street North. The driver stopped and stayed at the scene.

The kids were taken to Chinook Regional Hospital by EMS, before being transferred to Calgary for further treatment.

Police say the children are no longer in hospital and continue to recover.
