As cases of measles continue to be reported across the province, Alberta Health Service has issued another advisory impacting Lethbridge.Â
The agency confirmed the case in the Foremost area, with the infected individual having visited public places in Lethbridge while sick.Â
AHS says people who were in the following locations during these times may have been exposed to measles:Â
March 28, 2025Â
- Costco Wholesale (3200 Mayor Magrath Dr. S, Lethbridge)
- Exposure time period: Approx. 4:30 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.Â
- Real Canadian Superstore (3515 Mayor Magrath Dr. S, Lethbridge)
- Exposure time period: Approx. 5:15 p.m. – 8:15 p.m.Â
-  Boston Pizza – Lethbridge South (2041 Mayor Magrath Dr. S, Lethbridge)
- Exposure time period: Approx. 6:45 p.m. – 10 p.m.Â
Officials say anyone who was at those locations at those times who was born in or after 1970 and has less than two documented doses of measles-containing vaccines is at a higher risk of catching the illness.Â
Symptoms of measles include a fever of 38.3 degrees Celsius or higher, a cough, runny nose and/or red eyes, and a rash that develops three to seven days after the fever starts. The rash typically starts behind the ears and on the face, before spreading down to the body, then to the arms and legs.Â
AHS says the rash will appear red and blotchy on lighter skin tones and on darker tones, it can appear purple or darker than the skin around it, or it may be difficult to see.Â
