Easter weekend means service level changes in Lethbridge 

This weekend marks the Easter long weekend and with that, comes some service level changes at the City of Lethbridge.  

LETHBRIDGE 311 

The Lethbridge 311 contact centre and in-person services at City Hall will be closed on Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21. Urgent issues can be addressed by calling the 24-hour trouble line at 311, or by using the 24/7 self-service site. 

CITY HALL 

City Hall will be closed for Good Friday and Easter Monday, reopening on Tuesday. 

WASTE AND RECYCLING 

The Waste and Recycling Centre, and the Blue Sky Centre will be closed on Good Friday.

On Easter Monday, the Waste and Recycling Centre will be open during its regular hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Meanwhile, Good Friday curbside collection is being shifted to Saturday. 

COMMUNITY ANIMAL SERVICES 

The Lethbridge Animal Shelter and Community Animal Services will be closed on Good Friday and Saturday, April 19. 

The shelter will be open for normal hours, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Easter Monday. Some services are available online and for emergency animal control issues, call 403-320-4099.

LETHBRIDGE TRANSIT 

Ride on Demand and Fixed Route schedules, as well as Access-A-Ride bookings and customer service, will operate on the Sunday service on Good Friday and Easter Monday. 

GALT MUSEUM & FORT WHOOP-UP 

The Galt Museum and Archives will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Good Friday, and closed on Easter Sunday. The City adds that the museum is closed every Monday. 

Fort Whoop-Up is closed for the season and is set to reopen on Thursday, May 15. 

HELEN SCHULER NATURE CENTRE 

The Helen Schuler Nature Centre will be closed both Friday and Monday. 

LETHBRIDGE PUBLIC LIBRARY 

All of the Lethbridge Public Library branches will be closed on Friday and Monday.
