Street sweeping set to start in Lethbridge County

The annual street sweeping campaign in Lethbridge County starts next week.

Beginning Wednesday, crews will be clearing leftover gravel and debris from the winter months off streets in County hamlets, residential subdivisions and business/industrial parks. The work is scheduled to be completed by Monday, May 5.

Below is a list of the areas slated for sweeping:

  • Wednesday, April 30: Edgemoor, Sunset Acres, Mountain Meadows, Riverbrink Estates and Monarch
  • Thursday, May 1: Fairview, Rave Industrial Park, Frontier Industrial Park, Stewart Siding Industrial Park, Broxburn Industrial Park
  • Friday, May 2: Diamond City, Shaughnessy and Park Lake Estates
  • Monday, May 5: Deer Run Estates, Iron Springs and Turin

The County says signs will be placed in each community before sweeping starts.

Residents are asked to move their vehicles, any equipment and trailers, or anything that may obstruct the path of sweepers, off their street on their area’s scheduled day. Officials note that crews will not return to areas once they have been swept.

The County adds dates may change due to weather, the availability of equipment or any other unforeseen factors.

Updates will be shared on the County website and social media channels.
