Pair of economic focused websites launch in the Lethbridge region

Two newly developed websites have launched to help highlight the Lethbridge region.

Economic Development Lethbridge has launched the newly developed Choose Lethbridge website and the redesign of Canada’s Premier Food Corridor website has also been launched. Economic Development Lethbridge CEO, their website’s new design is aimed to make it easier for visitors to find the information they are looking for.

“That starts as soon as they click onto the site. Users can select one of three pathways – Investor & Site Selector, Entrepreneur or Doing Business. Users are directed to those pages which are full of valuable information, curated for their specific needs,” Lewington says.

Several projects and initiatives EDL is working on are highlighted on the website, along with all the publications and reports the organization has done. As well EDL programs and events have a new page where users can search different learning opportunities and events with a calendar view that breaks down the events by topic.

According to a statement from EDL, “The new EDL website also has an in-depth Market Data section that can be used to examine key economic indicators and trends in the Lethbridge Census Metropolitan Area. These new tools, provided by CityViz can also be compiled and downloaded into PDF reports.”

Behind the scenes, updates to the websites are reported to be made easier with staff being able to make edits and changes as needed.

“The Job Seekers Hub has proven to be a popular addition to the website with a labour demand tool for employers who want to better understand the local market as well as a job board that automatically compiles postings from over 40 local, provincial and national sites for an easy one-stop landing page for job seekers,” the EDL statement reads.

Canada’s Premier Food Corridor website has been transitioned to a more in-depth website, which includes tools for food and food processing companies in the region. The website also includes a comprehensive guide to why Lethbridge and Southern Alberta a top choice for businesses in the food industry.
