The Chief Mountain port of entry will officially be opening for the season in the middle of May.
The seasonal port is located along Highway 6 on the boundary of Waterton Lakes National Park. The port of entry is set to open on May 15th and close on September 30th. During May and September, the port will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., while the rest of the summer will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
According to the Canadian Border Services Agency, last year 65,000 travellers came into Canada through the Chief Mountain port of entry.
Travellers are reminded to have their travel documents ready when travelling.
