McHappy Day raises more than $60K locally

The 31st McHappy Day across southern Alberta communities raised $60,930 for Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada and the Lethbridge Family Centre.

According to a social media from the McDonalds 3rd Ave Avenue, the total was raised from purchases and donations at the Lethbridge, Fort Macleod. Cardston, Pincher Creek and Claresholm locations.

The money will be split with $31,143 going to the Lethbridge Family Centre and the remaining $29,787 RMHC.

McHappy Day across the country raised a record-breaking $11.3 million which was split between Ronald McDonald House Charities and other local children’s charities.

According to McDonalds officials, last week’s 31st annual McHappy Day shows how small actions can make a big difference in supporting families when needed.  Over the past 31 years, a grand total of more than $111.3 million was raised.
