Stay active with the Lethbridge Sport Council’s SportFest

SportFest returns June 7 to the Servus Sports Centre from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This one-day, all-ages event is packed with exciting opportunities to try new sports, connect with local clubs and discover the many ways to stay active in the city.

Hosted by the Lethbridge Sport Council, SportFest is completely free and open to everyone. With dozens of hands-on activities, sport demonstrations and interactive booths.

Families who prefer a quieter start to the day are invited to Calm Before the Fest, a low-sensory experience from 9-10 a.m. This designated time offers a more relaxed environment for those who benefit from reduced crowds and noise.

Whether you’re looking for a new sport, you’re new to Lethbridge and want to get connected or just looking for a fun way to spend your Saturday, SportFest has something for everyone. Dress comfortably and get ready to participate.

Event highlights include:

  • Four try-it zones with hands-on sport and recreation activities for all ages.
  • Meet-and-greet opportunities with local athletes, clubs and coaches.
  • Demonstrations from a wide-range of sports.
  • Community booths representing sport and recreation organizations.

“We often hear people plan to stop by for an hour and end up staying much longer,” says Susan Eymann, executive director. “One of the biggest draws is the chance to speak directly with dozens of local sport clubs about their programs, all in one place. Add in the four try-it zones and the interactive atmosphere, and people are genuinely amazed by how much they can learn and experience about the Lethbridge sport community.”
