Starting today, staff with the City of Lethbridge Parks department will be mowing grass in the meridian along Whoop-Up Drive/6 Avenue South.

Officials say the working area will be from 4 Street South to just east of the bridge deck. To keep crews safe and give them space, the inner lanes of that area will be closed.

This project is expected to be done by the end of the day, depending on the weather.

WEEKEND WORK

On Saturday, June 7, the City says there will be overhead sign inspections along Whoop-Up Drive. This project includes the overhead signs at the University Drive West overpass and the ramp to Scenic Drive South.

Intermittent lane closures will be in effect for both east and westbound traffic.

Drivers are asked to travel carefully and follow all work signs.
