Two Lethbridge residents face charges after an incident near Aldersyde.Â
The Okotoks RCMP says at around 5:30 a.m. on May 31, officers were patrolling near the community when they spotted a vehicle with a license plate that did not match the vehicle. A traffic stop was done, and police say they found a large amount of drugs, cash and weapons in the vehicle, with two occupants being arrested.Â
RCMP say a search led to the following being seized:Â Â
- 88 tablets of suspected FentanylÂ
- 35 grams of suspected cocaineÂ
- 40 dots of suspected Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD)Â
- 6 grams of suspected Psilocybin (Mushrooms)Â
- 177 grams of suspected Cannabis ResinÂ
- 257 tablets of prescription medicationsÂ
- An extendable baton and two knivesÂ
- $7,300 in cashÂ
Kory Shouting, 45, and Nancy Sovdi, 49, both Lethbridge residents, each face the following charges:Â Â
- Five counts of Possession for the Purpose of TraffickingÂ
- Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous PurposeÂ
- Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000Â
Following an initial court appearance, the two charged are due in Cochrane court on June 17.Â
