Community satisfaction survey opens in Lethbridge

The City of Lethbridge is looking for your feedback.

A new Community Satisfaction Survey has been launched to get insight into what residents think about different programs and services offered by the municipality.

The questionnaire will be done in two ways: over the phone and online. Forum Research Inc. will conduct the phone survey on behalf of the City, which takes about 10 minutes.

If you do not get a call, the online survey can be accessed through the Get Involved Lethbridge webpage and is open until August 15, 2025.

Communications and engagement manager Tara Grindle says conducting the survey in these two ways will ensure data is gathered from a wide range of residents.

“This is an opportunity for residents to give feedback to the City to let us know how we’re doing. It’s a lot about the programs and services the City provides and how satisfied you are with that,” Grindle says.

“It feeds into some of our KPIs – our key performance indicators at the City of how we’re doing and being able to measure that so we can always be continuously improving.”

Grindle says the hope is to have all the results compiled in the fall.

In the past, Lethbridge has traditionally done a 20-minute survey every four years, focused on the municipal operating budget and helping inform council during its budget talks.

Grindle says a lot can change in four years, and the City wanted to hear from residents sooner, specially when it comes to the programs and services offered in Lethbridge.

“Four years is a long time and things change quite rapidly, so we wanted to make sure that we had the opportunity to do it more frequently,” Grindle explains.

Residents can expect to find questions about topics like Lethbridge 311, customer service and communications at the City.

That longer-format, 20-minute survey will be recommended as part of the engagement plan for the 2028-2031 operating budget.

If it is approved, the questionnaire would be done in 2027.

A similar initiative is underway in Coaldale, with the Town gathering feedback from its own satisfaction survey until the end of July.
