Lethbridge County advanced voting stations open Saturday

With the 2025 municipal election just around the corner, Lethbridge County is getting ready for voters in Divisions Six and Seven to vote on who will represent them over the next four years.

Early voting in the county’s municipal races will be held on Saturday, with Division Six voters being able to cast their vote at the Shaughnessy Community Hall and Division Seven voters can cast their ballots at the Turin Community Center. Advanced voting stations will be open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Election Day across Alberta is on Monday, and voting stations will be in the same places where advanced voting was held. Polls will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Voters must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen and have lived in Alberta for six months before election day and live in the Division you are voting in on election day. Those looking to cast their ballots will need to bring their identification.

William Raatz and Eric Van Essen are running for the Division Six council chair, while incumbent Morris Zeinstra and Tony Ankermann are running for the Division Seven council chair.
