City offering more free skating times for those impacted by teacher strike

The province-wide teacher strike has left students out of the classroom for the last few weeks. With that, the City of Lethbridge is offering more free public skating times at the Cavendish Farms Centre, giving families another activity option during the strike.

Skating will be available on the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 22 at CFC West: Parent/Tot Skate (with sticks) with siblings 12 years and younger, from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The ice will be split in half with older kids and sponge pucks.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 22 at CFC East: Public Skate from 1:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 23 at CFC East: Family Skate from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
