UPDATE: Lethbridge police appeal to community for tips in open theft case

UPDATE: LPS officials have reportedly identified the man wanted in connection to an alleged hit and run in late October. According to police the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.

The public is being asked for help identifying suspects in two open police investigations.

Lethbridge Police Service say they want to identify a man connected to an alleged hit-and-run on Oct. 29. Officers responded around 2 p.m. to a report from a woman who found her parked vehicle damaged in the casino parking lot; no note was left. After reviewing surveillance footage, police obtained images of a man and his vehicle — described as a newer model, black Buick Encore GX.

The second case reportedly occurred Dec. 3 at a Shoppers Drug Mart on University Drive. Police say they are looking for two men believed connected to the alleged theft of about $2,400 in skin-care products. Images of both men were captured on the store’s surveillance footage.

Anyone with information that could help identify the suspects in either case is asked to call 403-328-4444 or submit a tip to Crime Stoppers.
