It appears Lethbridge is one of the top places in western Canada in which to invest.
The Western Investor has released its list of the best investment towns heading into 2020.
Lethbridge ranks number four on that list.
It cites the city’s diverse economy along with a prediction of strong employment growth over the next year.
“Despite an Alberta slowdown, Lethbridge’s economy has fired on all cylinders over the past two years, expanding by 5.1% in 2018, though economic growth will moderate to a still-healthy 2.6% in 2019 and 2.7% in 2020, according to the Conference Board of Canada. Strong employment growth will continue, with 2,700 new jobs created this year and next, following the 1,800 job leap last year. Population growth will remain solid at 1.9% in both 2019 and 2020, matching the average annual gains of the past decade.”
The Western Investor, which is a leading resource for commercial real estate in western Canada, is also expecting Lethbridge’s population to continue growing a steady pace.
Kelowna, BC was ranked as the top western city in which to invest. Followed by Prince George, Chilliwack, and then Lethbridge.
