Special grants mark 60 years of building community

A special one-time grants program has been announced by the Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta to help celebrate its 60th anniversary.

The Community Foundation marks 60 years of building community with a Diamond Anniversary Grants program. It will award 10 Diamond Anniversary Grants of $6,000 each to support community celebrations across the region.

The program aims to build and strengthen communities by supporting free and inclusive events that bring community members together to celebrate.

“We’re excited to reach this milestone, and to think back on all the initiatives we’ve supported over the past sixty years,” says Executive Director Charleen Davidson.

Davidson invites southwestern Alberta communities to join the festivities by hosting an event of their own, so everyone can be part of the fun. “We want this year to be filled with celebrations of our work, our community and the next 60 years.”

More information on eligibility, funding criteria and access to the application form for the Diamond Anniversary Grants program can be found online at cflsa.ca/grants.

All applications must be submitted online by March 31.
