Lethbridge Polytechnic golf tournament to support student-athletes

Funds will be raised for local students as golfers hit the links this summer.

Lethbridge Polytechnic has announced the return of its golf tournament, presented by KB Heating, Plumbing and Air Conditioning.

The event is set for August 27 at the Lethbridge Country Club and will help raise funds for Kodiaks student-athlete scholarships.

“Our team is very excited to welcome golfers back for a special day at the Lethbridge Country Club,” says Todd Caughlin, the director of Athletics and Recreation Services.

“We would like to thank the community and our sponsors for their incredible generosity in making last year’s event a huge success, and we look forward to seeing everyone who can make it in August.”

Officials say up to 144 spots are available, with registration now open.

“We would also like to thank our returning tournament title sponsor KB Heating, Plumbing and Air Conditioning,” says Caughlin.

“Their generosity directly supports student scholarships, giving them the boost they need to succeed on the court, track or pitch and in the classroom.”

Since its inception, the golf tournament has raised over $1 million for student-athlete scholarships. Officials say funds help ease the financial burdens faced by student-athletes, which allows them to focus on their studies, training, and community work.

To register, or for more information on sponsorships, interested parties can contact development officer Pam Purnell at pam.purnell@lethpolytech.ca, by phone at 403-616-4697. Further details are also available on the polytechnic website.
