A Lethbridge woman has received a significant financial boost.
Linda Bridge won $100,000 on her January 13 LOTTO MAX and EXTRA draw ticket.
Bridge said when she went to the store to check her ticket, she almost used a self-checker, but a busy machine changed her plans.
“I went to the store and was going to use the self-checker, but it was busy, so I just went right to the cashier,” she stated. “This was the first ticket they checked.”
Bridge said the results showed up quickly on the screen, but it took a bit for the excitement to truly sink in. She remarked, “I think the cashier was even more excited than I was!”
Bridge said she is going to use her winnings to purchase a new car and save the rest.
“Once it’s in the bank, I think I’ll be able to relax,” she added.
Bridge purchased her winning ticket from the Save-On-Foods in north Lethbridge.
