Two charged in $50K break-in at Lethbridge electronics store

Two people are facing charges in connection with about $50,000 worth of electronics stolen during a break-in late last year, according to the Lethbridge Police Service.

Police said the charges stem from a Dec. 23, 2025 break-in at Memory Express.
Investigators allege two male suspects cut and pried open roll shutters to gain entry to the store and stole equipment including computer processors, motherboards and laptops.

Police said the suspects left the scene in a white BMW driven by a woman.

After what police described as an extensive investigation by the service’s property crimes unit, investigators obtained warrants and later arrested two suspects in Lloydminster on March 10 with assistance from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Police said the suspects were located inside the same white BMW believed to have been used in the Lethbridge break-in.

Both individuals — a 42-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman from Edmonton — are charged with break and enter other than a dwelling house. Police said they were remanded in custody and were scheduled to appear in court in Lloydminster.

Police said efforts are ongoing to locate a third suspect and the stolen merchandise has not been recovered.
